2013 Vintage

One of if not the most driest years in recorded history. Very early budbreak and textbook weather at bloom led to an early, highly compressed, and record-sized harvest. With no severe heat spikes and no rain post veraison, fruit was immaculate. However, some vines showed severe hydric stress and had to have their fruit dropped prior to harvest. Resulting wines are deeply colored and fruited, often with more tannin than usual.
