Curiously, even somewhat miraculously, Martinelli Road Vineyard seemed to escape damage from the heat in August much better than other Russian River Valley Zinfandel vineyards. After a five-day cold-soak, indigenous fermentation began. Pressed after 16 days on the skins to all French oak, 22% new. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
