Largely composed of Rossi Ranch Petite Sirah, farmed by the meticulous, organic guru Phil Coturri, we found that the addition of small amounts of Palisades Petite Sirah and Rosella’s Syrah enhanced the texture, aromatics, and complexity of this wine.  Seventeen percent new French oak and, like most of our wines, bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Sonoma County Petite Sirah

Tasting Note:

Very dark opaque ruby-purple.  A berry-licious nose of blackberry and blueberry with a slight suggestion of graham cracker and freshly-tilled loamy earth.  On the palate, very concentrated and deeply fruited.  Tannins are present but for a Petite Sirah, this is surprisingly well-mannered and drinkable.  Enjoy now with a decant or let ‘er ride up to 2032.
