From our Two Acres vineyard this wine proves the notion that terroir can speak loudly through any variety. Mondeuse, grown in the Savoie of France, is renowned for its longevity. This wine will be no exception. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Tasting Note:
While not quite as dark as our Two Acres blend, this wine shares many of the same aromas - a whiff of game, a touch of iron, some Christmas spice, all intertwined by bright cherry fruit with a lick of licorice. Medium-full bodied with wonderful acidity, the wine ends with a dusting of tannins. How long will it last? A long time to be sure! (MRO - 11/17/00)
