Bacchi Ranch - Russian River Valley
Planted in 1909, this vineyard is in the warmer, northern reaches of the Russian River Valley, an area sometimes referred to as "the crucible" for the convergence of Dry Creek Valley, Alexander Valley, Chalk Hill, and Russian River Valley. Being a warmer site, the Bacchi Ranch is typically picked within a week of our Dry Creek Zinfandels, late September into early October, and well before our other Russian River Valley Zinfandel vineyards. While predominantly Zinfandel, there is a significant percentage of Petite Sirah and only a sprinkling of other varieties such as Grand Noir and Alicante Bouschet. Dry farmed.
